Recording built around the project

The recording setup is determined by what is being captured and how the material will ultimately be used. Microphone selection, input requirements, monitoring, session organization, recording format, and production workflow can all vary depending on the project.

Recording may be coordinated at client locations, event venues, approved production spaces, or other arranged facilities when appropriate for the project.

Mixing & Mastering

Mixing and mastering services help transform recorded material into a balanced, polished, and release-ready final product.

Mixing focuses on the relationship between the individual elements of the production, while mastering focuses on the final stereo mix and its overall level, tonal balance, consistency, and preparation for delivery.

Mixing that supports the song

Mixing brings the individual tracks of a production together into a cohesive stereo mix. The process may involve level balancing, panning, equalization, compression, dynamics control, vocal processing, effects, automation, editing, and other processing appropriate to the material.

The goal is not simply to make a track louder or heavily processed, but to create clarity, balance, impact, and musical direction while supporting the character of the original production.

Preparing the final mix for release

Mastering is the final processing stage after the mix has been approved. The finished stereo mix is evaluated for tonal balance, dynamics, overall level, stereo presentation, consistency, and technical delivery requirements. Final files can then be prepared according to the agreed needs of the project, whether the music is intended for digital release, video, promotional content, archival use, or another approved format.

Remote mixing & mastering

Mixing and mastering projects do not always require an in-person session. Clients can submit properly prepared audio files for remote production, allowing us to work with artists, producers, and content creators outside the immediate Cleveland area.

File requirements, reference material, project notes, revisions, and final deliverables are confirmed before work begins.

Preparing your project

Before production begins, you may be asked to provide session files, consolidated audio stems, reference tracks, rough mixes, production notes, song information, and any specific creative or technical requests.

Exact file requirements depend on whether the project involves recording, mixing, mastering, or a combination of services.

How an audio project comes together

   Share what you are working on, what stage the project is currently in, and what services you need.

2. We review the material and requirements.
   Recording needs, session files, track count, production goals, references, deadlines, and delivery requirements are evaluated.

3. The scope is confirmed.
   Services, pricing, responsibilities, scheduling, revisions, and deliverables are established before work begins.

4. Recording or post-production begins.
   The project moves through the agreed recording, editing, mixing, or mastering workflow.

5. Final files are delivered.
   Approved files are prepared according to the agreed project requirements.
